Career Advice
"Career Advice can come from anywhere and everywhere, from your Family and Friends to your Colleagues and Teachers. You can also learn Career Do's and Don't from Trail and Error."
Advice: How many times have you asked for it, yearned for it, or received it over the course of your life? You probably have had many experiences of all three, and sometimes it comes without asking. Advice is a critical part of one’s career journey—something that can be beneficial, but if not used with caution, also can be downright harmful.
Career Advice is nothing but a feedback not always true though. "Its a gift, and you can choose what you want to do with it." "You can act on it right away, be inspired to do something else, or just put it in your back pocket for rainy days."Now we have asked the question in our Questionnaire that " Whom Do You Get Career Advice From?"
The main purpose to ask this question is to know who or what motivates our respondents for building their career or we can say for doing career planning which helps them to have a better career goal. It may be their Family members, friends, Teachers, Relatives or any other.
So we got a total of 78 responses from our respondents. Total % distributed is 205 as it is a checkbox type question.
Our Research shows that maximum number of respondents are motivated by their family which is 55.1% i.e more than half of the total percentage which means family plays a crucial role in career planning followed by the teachers with 39.7%. Friends are given 38.5% while Career awareness activities and career orientation courses shows 34.6% and 28.2% all these are the major factors that helps in the career planning of the respondents.
There are other minor factors such as Relatives, Own aspiration, Colleagues, Social media etc. all these are given 1.3%.
